Last season at Cabelleros de Culiacan his 28.2 ppg scoring average ranked 1st in the league and his 3.4 apg assist mark ranked 3rd. For his efforts, Joe was named Mexican League Guard of the Year, 1st Team All-Mexican League, and 1st Team All-Imports. In the Czech Republic Joe led Geofin to the 2008 Czech Republic Championship as well as the finals of the CEBL Cup. His stats that year earned him All-Star honours.
At Marquette he was the recipient of the team’s year end Hit the Deck Award 3 times given to the player that takes the most charges during practice and games.
